The 'sequel' to Lost Cosmonaut, so to speak. Many of the songs were written/assembled around the same time, and I originally intended to release the whole thing as a double album - the music on this album has much improved since then, so I'm glad I waited!
Some tracks feature spoken word. Jacob (from Counter/Balance) lent me his voice for the record, but the text is pulled/assembled from all sorts of places. Astronaut/cosmonaut quotes, Ingmar Bergman films, sci-fi novels, Carl Sagan... etc. I figured it would be best to present words from people who had actually experienced space and its related topics in one capacity or another, than to pretend I have the authority (or talent) to write the text myself. So sure, I'll use that as my excuse.
Thank you so much to everyone who played on the record or who supported the making of it at any point - to family and friends and bandmates, to Jacob for bringing the angst, to Heather and Marissa for the gorgeous strings, to Karley and Clarissa for your lovely voices, to Ivan for your poem and voice, and to Daniel for the jaw-dropping art (don't worry, I'm going to keep the LC art the way it is). And a thank you to all the LC improvisers, especially those whose recordings I used for this album as well. Anyway. This is what I love to do, so to be able to make art like this in the world I do is an absolute blessing. And as always - THANK YOU DADLY
